The River Walk House - York

The River Walk House in York exceeded my expectations in every way! The room was cozy and comfortable, making me feel right at home. I especially loved the two bathrooms with showers, which made getting ready in the mornings a breeze. It was such a treat to have this convenience, especially as a guest who values their privacy.

One minor thing I didn't personally love was that there was no bathtub in the room. But hey, that's just me and I'm sure others would still enjoy the showers.

The garden at this hotel was truly a hidden gem. We spent hours strolling among the vibrant flowers and lush greenery, feeling like we had stumbled into a secret oasis. It was as if we had been transported to a world where time stood still, with only the beautiful melodies of nature's orchestra to serenade us. Trust me, you won't want to miss this enchanting experience!

Maintenance issues

Beautifully decorated property, plenty of space for our group of friends. Convenient location, just a short walk to the city center. Easy parking with a permit provided.

Lack of maintenance noticeable with paint peeling in some areas.

This place was mind-blowing! It's super convenient and just a jaw-dropping 5-minute riverside walk from a beautiful bridge. The house is immaculately clean with cosy beds, loads of towels, and two spacious bathrooms with bath and shower. It even has free wi-fi, free parking, and all the necessary kitchen amenities. The hosts were incredibly friendly and gave us great recommendations for local spots. We had a fantastic stay with our grandchildren and would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Lovely clean property, lots of space, great location. Attentive owner, phoned to check we had got into the property ok and alerted us to 'restaurant week' and some local pubs. Nice selection of tea, coffee etc. good facilities, was pleased to see there was a hairdryer as I didn't bring mine! The kids loved the breakfast bar. Beds were really comfy. A quiet location not far from central York. We walked everywhere.
